Rae Rasmussen

                                            The Chameleon
Terrence Peder Rasmussen (1943-2010)
Rasmussen was born in Colorado and grew up in Arizona. He dropped out of high school and enlisted in the US Navy in 1961 and discharged in 1967. In 1969 he married and had four (4) children and resided in Phoenix, Arizona and Redwood City, California. In 1975 His wife left him and took the children with her after he was arrested for aggravated assault. The last time they saw Rasmussen was in late 1975 when he arrived with an unidentified woman (possibly Pepper Reed).
They divorced in 1978.

Pepper Reed (1952-Unknown)
Pepper went missing between December 12-18th 1975 from Houston, Texas. At the time of her disappearance, she was pregnant with Rasmussen's child, Rea Rasmussen. Pepper had introduced Rasmussen to her family prior to disappearing. Rea Rasmussen was born in California on June 15, 1976. Pepper Reed has never been located.

Rasmussen in New Hampshire 1977
In 1977 Rasmussen settled in Manchester New Hampshire and went by the name "Robert Evans".  He was employed at the Waumbec Mill as an electrician. In the 1980's he was arrested three (3) times in Manchester for bad checks and theft of electricity.

Denise & Dawn Beaudin 1981
On November 26, 1981, Denise Beaudin (23) along with her daughter Dawn (6 months old) disappeared from Manchester New Hampshire. They left New Hampshire with Rasmussen, who was introduced to her family as "Bob Evans". Denise was never reported missing to law enforcement. Her family believed the couple left Manchester due to financial reasons.  It's strongly believed Rasmussen killed Denise in California; however, she remains missing.
For reasons unknown, Rasmussen kept Denise's daughter and renamed her "Lisa" and presented himself as her father.  Rasmussen was arrested in Cypress, California in 1985 using an alias Gordon Jenson on charges of drunk driving and child endangerment. He was operating the vehicle with "Lisa" inside. He failed to appear in court and disappeared

Bear Brook State Park, Allenstown New Hampshire 1985
On November 10, 1985, the bodies of a woman and a child were discovered inside a 55-gallon drum. The cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to their heads. Their identities were unknown. Eventually, the victims were buried at Saint Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Allenstown. The remains were placed together in a steel casket in case evidence arose later and they needed to be exhumed for more tests.
The headstone above the grave read: “Here lies the mortal remains known only to God of a woman aged 23-33 and a girl child aged 8-10. Their slain bodies were found on November 10, 1985, in Bear Brook State Park. May their souls find peace in God’s loving care.”

Rasmussen in California 1986
In 1986 Rasmussen, using the alias Gordan Jensen, abandoned "Lisa" at an RV park in Scotts Valley, California. She would later be put up for adoption. In 1988 Rasmussen again was arrested, this time using the name Gerry Mockerman for operating a stolen motor vehicle. In 1989 he received a three (3) year prison sentence for the child abandonment charges. He was paroled in 1990 and disappeared.

Bear Brook State Park, Allenstown New Hampshire 2000
On May 9, 2000, the bodies of two (2) children were discovered inside a 55-gallon drum just 100 yards from the 1985 discovery. The cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to their heads. Their identities were unknown.

Rasmussen in California 2002 - Murdered Eusoon Jun
Rasmussen reappeared in December 1999 using the alias Larry Vanner when Eunsoon Jun (44) introduced him to her family. They were married in 2001 in an unofficial ceremony. Jun disappeared in June 2002. Her body was discovered buried under cat litter in her basement after having died of blunt force trauma to the head. Rasmussen was arrested in November 2002 on murder and dismemberment charges. He pleaded no contest in 2003 and was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison. Rasmussen (67) died in prison on December 28, 2010.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department DNA Results 2003
In 2003, The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department opened a case to find "Lisa's" biological family. DNA confirmed Rasmussen wasn't her biological father.  In 2015 "Lisa" discovered her mother's true identity was Denise Beaudin and learned the man she thought was her father, was actually her kidnapper. This link also placed Rasmussen in New Hampshire at the time of the Bear Brook State Park Murders. On January 26, 2017, New Hampshire authorities announced that Rasmussen was a suspect in the disappearance of Denise Beaudin and the Bear Brook murders.

Bear Brook State Park Victims DNA Result 2019
In 2019 the victims discovered in 1985 were identified as Marlyse Elizabeth Honeychurch (24), her daughter Marie Elizabeth Vaughn. The victims discovered in 2000 were identified as Sarah Lynn McWaters also daughter of Marlyse, and a yet to be identified child approximately 2 to 4 years of age. DNA results also determined Rasmussen is the biological father of the child still unable to be identified.

Marlyse Honeychurch (1954-1985)
It's not known exactly how Rasmussen met Marlyse Honeychurch and her children. In 1978 just after a Thanksgiving Day argument with her mother, the four of them left California and traveled to Manchester New Hampshire. Rasmussen began using the name "Bob Evans". It appeared Marlyse was with Rasmussen for a period of time living at 925 Haywood Street.

Marlyse was born in Connecticut and was previously married Marie's father in June 1971. She moved to Fall River 1973 and was divorced by 1974.
Marlyse then he married Sarah's father in September 1974, Sarah was born in 1977, and the two were separated by the time she was known to be dating Rasmussen. The children both went through periods where they were in the custody of their fathers, but Marlyse would later regain guardianship. By October 1978, the marriage was over.
In November 2019, Marlyse and Marie, were laid to rest together with a new headstone bearing their names in Allenstown, New Hampshire. Sarah was laid to rest in Connecticut, near her father’s family.
In September 2025, New Hampshire investigators announced the 4th child has been identified,
The child has been identified as Rea Rasmussen,
