On July 30, 1980, shortly after midnight, Kevin Coe (30), Shawn Dickinson and Derrick Dickinson, met Frank Sikorski (52) outside a Taunton bar and requested a ride home. Frank agreed to drive them to their destination.
Kevin Coe and Shawn Dickinson beat Frank to death, stole his money and vehicle. After killing Frank, the men tossed his body in Oakland Pond in Taunton. Subsequently, the men robbed a West Bridgewater gas station at 2:50AM assaulting the clerk, Thomas Lordan.
After the robbery, the trio lead Massachusetts State Police on a high-speed pursuit at approximately 4:00 AM. The men were eventually apprehended and arrested at a roadblock in Raynham.
Escape from Jail 1981
On March 14, 1981, while awaiting trial, Shawn Dickinson, Kevin Coe and a third inmate escaped from the Bristol County House of Correction. The men beat one corrections officer and stabbed another during the escape. All three (3) men were captured the same day.

Kevin Coe plead guilty to 2nd-degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole. Kevin was also convicted of the unarmed robbery and sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole, to run concurrently with the murder sentence. Kevin received an additional sentence of 3 to 5 years for the escape from jail on March 4, 1981.

In May 2001 Leona Mattson (56), a registered nurse, called 911 to report her husband of thirty (30) years, Alfred Mattson (53), had suffered a possible stroke. Alfred was transported to the hospital where he remained in a coma for twelve (12) days before dying. Alfred suffered violent and sudden surges in his blood sugar levels; however he didn't have diabetes. Investigators consulted medical experts and determined "there is no way that could have happened short of insulin injection" The lengthy investigation continued for three (3) years.
In June 2004 Leona Mattson, member of the board of directors for the Brockton Visiting Nurse Association, was charged with murder in connection to her husband's death. Leona was accused of injecting her husband with a lethal dose of insulin in May 2001. Investigators determined Leona was the only person who saw her husband in the thirty (30) hours before she called 911. Leona was arraigned on the murder charge and was released after posting the $40,000 bail.

Upon arrival officers were directed to the rear yard of 148 Weir Street, where Tigan Hollingsworth (17) was suffering from multiple stab wounds. Tigan was transported to Morton Hospital and was pronounced dead.
Autopsy results determined Tigan was stabbed thirteen (13) times. He was buried in St. Joseph Cemetery
Witnesses claimed they saw three (3) males chasing Tigan, however none saw the actual stabbing. The three men were later identified as Jean Carlos Lopez (19), his brother Etnid Lopez (17) and their uncle Erving Cruz (24)

After Tigan's murder, Jared cut his hair short, burned his clothes and left Massachusetts. Jared is the only person who would be able to identify who stabbed Tigan.
In December 2013 Jared was accused of abducting his ex-girlfriend's 8-month-old daughter, leading to an Amber Alert and a police chase. Pennsylvania State Police fatally shot Jared at Pittsburgh International Airport when he threatened to kill the child.

On May 10, 2016, Arthur DaRosa (28) was attending a soccer practice for one of his children at a field on Myricks Street. Arthur left the field and was involved in a motor vehicle accident at 6:30 PM in the area of 270 Myricks Street. Arthur exited the damaged vehicle, then entered a residence, went into the kitchen and took possession of a knife then fatally stabbed Patricia Slavin (80) and severely wounded her daughter Kathleen Slavin (48). After the stabbing, Arthur fled the scene and drove to the Silver City Galleria, where he crashed through the front door of the Macy's store.
After exiting the vehicle again, Arthur assaulted three (3) woman employees of Macy's, then flees into the interior of the mall and makes his way to the Bertucci's Pizza Restaurant. While inside Bertucci's he grabs a knife and stabs a pregnant female waitress, Sheenah Savoy (26). In an effort the stop this attack on Sheenah, George Heath (56) is fatally stabbed. An off-duty Plymouth County Deputy Sheriff, James Creed, attempts to stop the attack, identifies himself as law enforcement engages the suspect with verbal warnings and commands, which were ignored. Deputy Sheriff Creed then discharges his weapon, firing one shot, which struck Arthur. Arthur was transported to Morton Hospital and succumbed to his injury. The motive for the attacks is unknown.

On January 5, 2019, approximately 11PM Taunton Police received calls regarding a male being attacked at 9 Wilson Street. The victim, later identified as Justin Paulo (31), had been stabbed and robbed of his gold chain. Justin was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by family, where he was later pronounced dead.
Two (2) male suspects fled the scene, leaving behind the knife used in the stabbing. The two (2) suspects, and the attack was captured on home surveillance cameras.
One (1) of the suspects, later identified as Jerome Middleton (19), presented himself at Charlton memorial Hospital with injuries from the attack on Justin. The second suspect later identified as Khaylon Cruz (24) was seen leaving the hospital with Jerome. On January 9, 2019, Jerome was taken into custody in Brockton and Khaylon was taken into custody in Dartmouth.

The victim, later identified as Justin Paulo (31), had been stabbed and robbed of his gold chain. Justin was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by family, where he was later pronounced dead.

On August 29, 2021, at approximately 8:55 Taunton Police were called to 881 Bay Street for a report of a shooting outside of that address. Upon arrival police located Dianne Silveria (71) shot multiple times in the driveway.
She was transported to Morton Hospital and pronounced dead at 9:23 PM.
After the shooting, Edward Silveria (86) fled back into the residence turned off all the lights and did not respond to any efforts by law enforcement to make contact with him, which resulted in a stand-off with police.
On August 30, 2021, at 1AM entry was made into the home using a tactical robot, at which point it was determined that the suspect was unconscious in the kitchen. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for several self-infected wounds to his wrist and neck.

On November 6, 2022, at approximately 1:38AM Taunton Police were called to the intersection of Mason and Myrtle streets for a male bleeding. Upon arrival they located Ross Copeland (38) suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. He was transported to Morton Hospital and was pronounced dead.
The investigation into the death of Ross lead to Jerome Fordham (35). Jerome and Ross were travelling together in a vehicle when a physical altercation occurred. The altercation led to Ross being fatally shot by Jerome and left by the side of the road.
Suspect Apprehended 2023 in Florida
On July 19, 2023, Jerome K. Fordham was apprehended in Tampa County, Florida residing in a trailer park. Jerome is charged with murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, carrying an illegal firearm, and assault and battery by means of a firearm.

Upon arrival police located the victim, Alvaro Andrade (33) in the driver's seat of a gray Jeep Cherokee parked in the driveway of 188 Winthrop Street. He was transported to Morton Hospital and was pronounced dead at 9:03 AM.
On July 21, 2023, Dustin Humanes (36) of Taunton was arrested and charged with murder and illegal firearms charges in connection with the death of Alvaro J. Andrade. Dustin was located and arrested after he checked into St. Anne's Hospital under a false name.
