        On April 3, 1977, Dennis "Fall River Danny" was murdered in his home located at 1033 Wilbur Ave. Five (5) men were arrested and charged in connection to Raimondi's murder between April 18-19, 1977. Four (4) suspects were held without bail, the fifth suspect, George Hanna of Fall River died of a heart attack after being arrested. The four (4) remaining suspects are Maurice Charest, Richard Carreiro, Paul Barboza and Robert Luiz.
     During the police investigation, Robin Raposa was uncovered as a witness. She told the police that she saw the murder and initially identified a John Lopes as the shooter. She later changed her story and identified Maurice Charest as the shooter.
     The Fall River Police obtained both an arrest warrant and a search warrant on April 19, 1977, for the home of Maurice Charest at 84 Danforth Street, Fall River. During the search a firearm was recovered from a bedroom closet shelf. Ballistic testing determined it was not the firearm used to kill Raimondi.

     
      On June 25, 1977, Robin Rapoza was arrested after causing a disturbance. In her sworn testimony, Robin stated she witnessed Maurice Charest shoot and kill Dennis. Robin is the sister of Maurice Charest. She told two (2) local media reporters that she was recanting her testimony and that the police pressured her to identify Maurice as the shooter. Robin had a two (2) year dating relationship with Dennis 
     In Robin's initial statement to law enforcement, she stated she was resting in Dennis's bedroom when people came to the house. She remained in the bedroom because her brother, Maurice was there. Maurice and Dennis were arguing over money, the other men had left the home. She saw Maurice pull a gun and shoot Dennis twice in the head.


Verdict Maurice Charest
  Maurice was convicted for possession and receipt of a firearm.  Maurice appealed the conviction.

ue to the recanted testimony of Robin. 

"I was a victim of the FBI"
​    Dennis "Fall River Danny" Raimondi was once considered to be the third (3rd) in charge of the Patriarca crime family. Dennis was also a former chauffeur for Raymond Patriarca. His murder came three (3) months after a book titled "I was a victim of the FBI" was released. Dennis authored the book and discussed his life as a mob informer. There is no evidence the book, or organized crime was connected to his murder.
